LABOUR RELATIONS FORUM 2023

Held in Niagara-on-the-Lake at the Pillar & Post the 2023 Labour Relations Forum included a series of presentations and facilitated discussions. Key conversations included a panel discussion that provided participants with a brief history of the evolution of construction labour relations in Ontario and the creation of the current legislative framework.

OCS Director of Research and Operations, Katherine Jacobs, presented a summary of the post bargaining survey and participants then discussed the results and the vision of the survey going forward. To lead us in this effort of facilitating labour-management relationships and enhancing the bargaining process, critically acclaimed author and speaker Daniel Shapiro kicked off Day 2 of the forum and provided a model or lens to use in thinking about building and maintaining positive, productive working relationships. Biologist, Science Journalist, Author and TV host Dan Raskin, made a presentation on how artificial intelligence is already changing the way we do business and how it will soon disrupt how we interact with one another.
