James currently serves as the Executive Secretary-Treasurer at the IBEW Construction Council of Ontario. He started his career as a licensed 309A Electrician after the successful completion of his apprenticeship.

James worked as an electrician for several years before he was elected as the Business Manager of IBEW Local 586 in 2001. After serving 5 terms as Business Manager at the Local, he was elected as President of the IBEW Construction Council of Ontario.

James loves working within the construction industry and is especially passionate about safety on the job site. In addition to serving on the OCS Board since BLANK, he served on the Ontario College of Trades Board of Governance and now serves on Skilled Trades Ontario’s inaugural Board of Directors when it was formed in 2022. James is a proud father of 4 children and is happy that his eldest son has followed in his footsteps in becoming a licensed electrician.
